TikTok LIVE requirements FAQ

Can I go LIVE with fewer than 1,000 followers?

The TikTok Help Center says you need 1,000 or more followers to go LIVE and that this rule may vary by region. The most accurate check is whether the LIVE menu shows on your account.

Can I watch LIVE streams if I am under 18?

The 18 or older rule is the requirement to go LIVE. Watching other people's LIVE streams follows the TikTok sign up age, and sending or receiving gifts requires 18 or older, 19 or older in South Korea.

Where do I check if the requirements change?

LIVE requirements change first in the TikTok LIVE page of the TikTok Help Center. This guide reflects what was checked on 2026-10-17, and the sources below show the latest rules.

If I can use TikTok from age 14, can I also go LIVE?

No. Under the TikTok Terms of Service, people 14 or older can sign up for TikTok, and in South Korea ages 14 to 18 need parent or guardian consent. Going LIVE separately requires 18 or older, and sending or receiving gifts requires 19 or older in South Korea. The sign up age, the age to go LIVE and the gift age are all different, so check all three separately.

Steps to check the LIVE requirements

  1. Age: check that you are 18 or older to go LIVE.
  2. Followers: check on your profile that you have 1,000 or more. The rule may vary by region.
  3. Menu: check that LIVE shows in the menu under the + button in the app.
  4. Gifts: if you plan to send or receive gifts, check that you are 18 or older (19 or older in South Korea).
  5. Rules: read the Community Guidelines and the Integrity and Authenticity policy.

Good to prepare before a LIVE stream

  • Set the stream title and topic and decide the stream length in advance so the watch time is easy to choose.
  • Note down your LIVE link (your profile address with /live at the end) so you can order the moment you go live.
  • Top up your 4X PANEL balance with USDT (TRC20) in advance. Top ups run from $50 to $10,000.
  • Keep your username during the stream. The LIVE link of an old username no longer opens.

4X PANEL LIVE services work with your existing LIVE access. Once you go live on an account that can stream, the viewers and engagement you order are delivered to the running stream. If the stream ends first and only part is delivered, the undelivered amount returns to your balance.

What to check if the LIVE menu does not show

  • Check that your account age is registered as 18 or older.
  • Check that your followers meet the regional rule (1,000 or more per the TikTok Help Center).
  • Check that the account is in good standing under the Community Guidelines.
  • Update the TikTok app to the latest version and check again.

If you meet every requirement and the menu still does not show, the most accurate route is to report a problem in the TikTok app settings or contact TikTok support. TikTok sets LIVE eligibility for each account, and 4X PANEL cannot check or change an account's LIVE eligibility.
